Penguins sock photos and more

Being the only two fans to go out on a cold, Friday morning before the Pens morning skate certainly has benefits as we managed to get a fresh crop of sock pics, and these are some of the best.

For Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, soon to make his second comeback of the season, being photographed with the lucky sock couldn't have come at a better time. Same goes for injured defensive star Kris Letang, who we all hope to see back in action very soon.

More pics after the jump.

Arron Asham completely rocked the sock.

Joe Vitale seemed thrilled to be in the presence of greatness.

Dustin Jeffrey, all business.

We also had a couple of sock-holding veterans coming back for seconds (or in Bob's case, thirds). Actually these guys were really great. Our previous attempts at taking their sock pics were spoiled due to nasty glare off the glass and awful lighting before the pregame warm-up at the arena. They were more than happy to let us have another go at it.

Also thanks to a couple of other former sock holders who were nice enough to stop and sign for us.

Jordan Staal signed our book.

And Eric Tangradi signed his sock photo.

We also got Letang to sign this photo that I had taken of him after he scored a big goal against Montreal back in January. He seemed more than happy to sign a pic that features a dejected PK Subban.

Sid signed this page in our book. Ball's in your court, Geno!

Also got a few Penguins broadcasters to sign the title page in our book, including Lange & Bourque, Errey & Steigy and Steve Mears.

Another fun day outside the Consol Energy Center. Looking forward to tonight's game against Florida. I'll be posting photos from that game sometime tonight or tomorrow. Until then, GO PENS!!!
