Tristan Jarry Top 100 (Part 2: 11-50)

We're back with positions 11-50 of the countdown.
In case you missed 51-100, catch Part 1 here.

Next is our first picture of Jarry, taken during the Pens second round series against the Caps in 2017 when Tristan was backing up Fleury.  This was during warm-ups, obviously, since Jarry didn't see any game action.  I admit I didn't know much about him at that point or I probably would have been taking a lot more pictures!

The next series of shots are from Kopitar's unsuccessful penalty shot in the December 14th, game.  Big save considering the game would ultimately be decided in a shootout.

As we've come to learn, Jarry is always looking for his shot.

We almost kept the next two out since they're mostly of Letang.  Then we realized that is a pretty bad reason to keep them out, plus they go well with the 3rd pic down when Jarry and Tanger were celebrating the recent shootout win over the Kings.

A few shots of Murray and Jarry, first with Jarry waiting to congratulate Murray on a win and then Matt returning the favor after Tristan's win.

You had to know there'd be some anthem pics in here, including a shot of Jarry's stick routine, mask and post anthem kiss (sorry for the blur!)

Jarry leads the boys out for a December 7, 2017, meeting with the Isles.  It was our first chance to see Tristan play and he didn't disappoint, posting the overtime win.

Pens vs Blue Jackets, December 13, 2014

If you were coming up with a soundtrack for the Pens latest visit to Columbus, you might have led things off with Ray Stevens' "The Streak".  After all, the Jackets entered the game having won their last five, which is pretty impressive considering they dropped six straight before that.  For their part, the Pens had won the last six regular season games at Nationwide Arena.

Once the puck dropped, the tune quickly changed to "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" as the teams combined for a respectable 46 penalty minutes in the first period alone.

There is definitely a nice rivalry brewing here in the wake of last year's six game playoff series, which ended with the Jackets on the losing side of the handshake line in front of their home crowd.  Clearly this wasn't the game 7 that some fans in the building were hoping for, but credit must be given as for the first time in recent memory the chants of "CBJ" managed to drown out "Let's Go Pens".

Alright, enough talk, let's get to our pics from the game.

Pens vs Flames, December 12, 2014

Just as Knitting Lady and I made our long awaited return to Consol Energy Center Friday night, so too did Kris Letang, getting back into action after missing five games with a groin injury.  Tanger's first period goal would prove to be the game winner as the Pens got another solid performance from Marc-Andre Fleury on their way to a 3-1 win over the Flames.

Check out our pics from the game below.

Pens agree to terms with Letang. Woooo!

The Pens agreed to terms on a contract extension for Kris Letang.
Eight years, $58 million.

Everybody's happy.  Except for all the Letang haters.  They'll get over it.

Any money left for this guy?

A Sid Trip: Pens vs Sens Game 2, May 17, 2013

The towels we were given on our way into the arena for game 2 Friday night read "Buckle Up Baby!"
The Ol' 29er Phil Bourque usually follows that up with "Are You Kidding Me?"
Sid was not kidding.
As far as the CEC crowd was concerned, those towels may as well have been soaked in LSD because Sid took us all on a really good trip.
Unless you were Craig Anderson, in which case it was a very bad trip,
and that led to an early trip
to the dressing room.

It's late (much like this post) so let's get to the photos after the jump.

Pens vs Isles Game 6, May 11, 2013. Elimination Island.

The Penguins and Islanders met at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for game 6 of their first round series Saturday night.  Not to give away too many spoilers for those of you seeing the game for the first time through this post, but....

Yeah, the Pens won.

The Pens won and spared their fans 20 hours or so of gut wrenching times waiting for a game 7 that would have been played Sunday night back in Pittsburgh.

More personally for Knitting Lady and me, the Pens won to extend our own "winning streak" to 10 games, and saved us from making the long drive back to Pittsburgh for that aforementioned game 7 that, thankfully, will never be.

Instead we get to drive home and start working on our game plan for round 2 and the Pens' next opponent, the Ottawa Senators (it's an eight and a half hour drive for us to Ottawa...hmmmm), just as Bylsma and Co. will be working on theirs.

Until then, we get to relax.
Just a little.
For now, we savor this victory.

Check out the photos after the jump.
