Game Photos: Pens vs Flyers Game 2

Pens fans probably aren't lining up to relive this game, but what the hell, continue below for our gameday photos from this Eastern Conference Quarterfinal round matchup between the Pens and Flyers.

It started around 1:30 AM Friday morning when we stopped off at the arena to take some night time photos of the Mario Statue.

It continued Friday morning when Brooks Orpik stopped on his way into practice to pose with Knitting Lady's sock and sign our jerseys and my book.

We thought the day was getting off to a pretty good start since Brooks was one of the final four Pens from this year's team who had not signed our jerseys or held the sock.

After a little break in the afternoon we headed down to the American Eagle Gate where fans were gathering to watch the game on Mario's TV.

Still 90 minutes before game time but already a decent crowd was getting comfortable on the lawn.

We met the Consol Bears, who were back for another game of taunting Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov.

But first they taunted Flyers fans who had lined up for the student rush. We didn't have the heart to tell them that tickets had already been sold earlier that afternoon.

The Mega Powers were there, ready to step into the ring with Hartnell and Talbot.

This fan had thoughts of taking down another Philadelphia legend.

The atmosphere outside was electric, but it was time to head inside to where the real action would be taking place that night.

On the way inside we bumped into a few fans wearing our whiteout shirts, including c-blog superstar Jon Klimas.

We got inside just in time for warm-up.

It didn't take long for the Pens to erase (at least temporarily) the bad memories of game 1 as Sidney Crosby opened up the scoring just 15 seconds in.

Hopes were still high for Pens fans until the Flyers scored four unanswered goals in the 3rd period.

Claude Giroux capped off the scoring, and his hat trick, with an empty net goal.
Crazy game. No reason why the Pens can't go to Philly and take two there, bringing the series back to Pittsburgh for game 5 all even at 2-2. We'll have more photos after that game.

LET'S GO PENS!!!
